CitiLab

Citilab is a center for social and digital innovation in Cornella de Llobregat, Barcelona. Exploits and spreads the digital impact on creative thinking, design and innovation emerging from digital culture. Citilab is a mix between a training center, a research center and an incubator for business and social initiatives. This project started with the idea that digital technologies, specifically Internet, are a way of innovation much more focused on citizens.

Fab Lab Barcelona

A fab lab (fabrication laboratory) is a small-scale workshop offering (personal) digital fabrication. A fab lab is generally equipped with an array of flexible computer controlled tools that cover several different length scales and various materials, with the aim to make "almost anything". This includes technology-enabled products generally perceived as limited to mass production. Fab Labs are community-driven and community-focus. Knowledge sharing is fostered through face-to-face interaction and through the webpage.

Your Priorities

The initiative believe that improved democracy is the path to a more equal world. The Internet offers an unique opportunity to reinvent democracy. Your Priorities is a powerful eDemocracy web application designed by the non profit Citizens Foundation to help groups of people speak with one voice. People submit ideas and debate them in a simple but advanced debate system. The best ideas with the best points for and against rise to the top. They won the European e-Democracy Awards 2011 and have won numerous Icelandic awards for innovation and participation.

Claroline

Claroline is an Open Source software to easily deploy a platform for learning and collaboration online. Available in many languages, Claroline can be downloaded free and installed freely. Claroline is based on a flexible educational model that information becomes knowledge through the activities and productions of the learner in a system driven by the motivation and interaction. The wide range of tools made available to the user allows any instructor or student to establish or operate an educational device for learning.

Calafou

Since its inception, the intent is to develop a network based on a network of cooperatives, individual projects and housing in a collectivised area.This seeks to facilitate the sharing of ideas, goods and resources to foster synergies in a natural way. A place for social innovation, technology and policy based on self-responsibility and cooperation. A project where the productive economies are in the service of people allowing their needs for access to resources and tools are not obstacles to the realization of their creative potential.

Ohloh

Ohloh is a free, public directory of Free and Open Source Software and the contributors who create and maintain it. Ohloh Code is a publicly available, free code search site that indexes most of the projects in Ohloh. Ohloh is editable by everyone, like a wiki. All are welcome to join and add new projects, and to make corrections to existing project pages. This public review helps to make Ohloh one of the largest, most accurate, and up-to-date FOSS software directories available.

Debian

The Debian Project is an association of individuals who have made common cause to create a free operating system. This operating system that we have created is called Debian. An operating system is the set of basic programs and utilities that make your computer run. At the core of an operating system is the kernel. The kernel is the most fundamental program on the computer and does all the basic housekeeping and lets you start other programs. Debian GNU/Linux is one of the most popular Linux distributions for personal computers and network servers.

Evergreen

Evergreen is an open-source, scalable integrated library system. Like many ILSes Evergreen features an online public access catalog and staff client. Features include circulation, cataloging, billing, reporting, acquisitions, serials and much more. As open source software Evergreen's features and support are driven by it's users.

Red Ciudadana. Partido X

Red Ciudadana, Partido X is a political party appeared publicly in early 2013, presented online via its Twitter account (@ Partido_X). It came out from a group persons related to the Spanish 15M and from the movement of free culture and free software. This party advocates for democracy 4.0: forms of direct democracy by the Internet, wikigovernement, binding referendums, popular Llegislative initiatives, involvement of citizens in the drafting of laws, transparency.

Joomla

Joomla is an award-winning content management system (CMS), which enables you to build Web sites and powerful online applications. Many aspects, including its ease-of-use and extensibility, have made Joomla the most popular Web site software available. Best of all, Joomla is an open source solution that is freely available to everyone. As of February 2014, Joomla has been downloaded over 50 million times. Over 7,700 free and commercial extensions are available from the official Joomla! Extension Directory, and more are available from other sources.
