The Good Data

TheGoodData is the first data coop. It improves people's privacy while doing some social good. Its browser extension blocks trackers and anonymously process and trades a small part of data for charities. In exchange, users become the sole owners of the company. TheGoodData has started supporting users to effectively own their browsing data, but is expected to develop new features to regain ownership of other sets of data: mobile, financial, etc.

Mikorizal Software - Value Accounting System software community

The value accounting system deals with the creation and transformation of value in the context of a commons-based peer production system. It describes amalgamation of value in peer-production. At the network level, it describes transformation and flow of value. Different types of value are identified and a valuation mechanism is put in place. The value created is attributed to its creators. The Value Accouting System software is open source software and is openly available. It is currently used by Sensorica.ca and Guerrilla Translations (both listed in this directory)

Backdrop

Backdrop CMS is a fork of Drupal 7, created with the purpose of offering a lower barrier entry. Backdrop CMS started its existence as an offshoot or fork of Drupal. Although Backdrop originates from a common codebase with Drupal, its philosophy and organization are distinct. Backdrop practices a policy of focused releases, taking into account the feedback from the community. The overall direction is guided by the Backdrop Project Management Committee (PMC), modeled off of the Apache project.
