Later, after further tensions, forks and re-merging within the community, in Dicember 2012 the German association Wikivoyage e.V. and the English Wikitravel community moved all the projects operations in order to be hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization hosting several of the world's largest wiki-based communities such as Wikipedia.
