Wikiprogress

Wikiprogress is the official platform for the OECD-hosted Global Project on "Measuring the Progress of Societies". The core mission of wikiprogress is "to create global information tool supported by a worldwide partnership of organisations and individuals wishing to develop new, smarter measures of progress.

Protei

Protei is a Shape Shifting, Open Hardware, Sailing robot to sense and clean the oceans. Originally invented to clean up the BP Oil Spill pulling long oil sorbent using wind power by Cesar Harada, Protei is now a platform technology to transport scientific payload and clean-up equipment at sea, developed by an global community of scientists, engineers, makers and sailors. Scoutbots is the community that develops "Protei" the Open Hardware Shape Shifting Sailing Robot to collect ocean data and transport cleanup equipment.

Thingspeak

ThingSpeak is an open source “Internet of Things” application and API to store and retrieve data from things using HTTP over the Internet or via a Local Area Network. With ThingSpeak, you can create sensor logging applications, location tracking applications, and a social network of things with status updates.

The Open University

The Open University (OU) is a distance learning and research university founded by Royal Charter in the United Kingdom. The university is funded by a combination of student fees, contract income, and allocations for teaching and research by the higher education funding bodies throughout the UK. It is notable for having an open entry policy, i.e. students' previous academic achievements are not taken into account for entry to most undergraduate courses.

Lorea

Lorea is a project to create secure social cybernetic systems, in which a network of humans will become simultaneously represented on a virtual shared world. Its aim is to create a distributed and federated nodal organization of entities with no geophysical territory, interlacing their multiple relationships through binary codes and languages.

OSP

The OpenScience project is dedicated to writing and releasing free and Open Source scientific software. We are a group of scientists, mathematicians and engineers who want to encourage a collaborative environment in which science can be pursued by anyone who is inspired to discover something new about the natural world. Much of the work of science depends on having appropriate tools available to analyze experimental data and to interract with theoretical models. Powerful computers are now cheap enough so that significant processing power is within reach of many people.
