Rate Your Music (or RYM) is an online collaborative metadata database of musical and non-musical releases and films which can be cataloged, rated and reviewed by users. In RYM users rate and catalog releases, as well as write reviews, create lists and add artists and releases to the database.

Open Ministry

The Open Ministry (Avoin ministeriö) is about crowdsourcing legislation, deliberative and participatory democracy and citizens initiatives. It is a non-profit organization based in Helsinki, Finland.We help citizens and NGO's with national citizens' initiatives, EU citizens initiatives and develop the online services for collaborating, sharing and signing the initiatives.

PHP-Nuke

PHP-Nuke is a content management system allowing webmasters to create community-based portals (websites), allowing users and editors to post news items (user-submitted news items are selected by editors) or other types of articles. Registered users can then comment on these articles. Modules can be added to the PHP-Nuke system allowing additional features such as an Internet forum, Calendar, News Feed, FAQs, Private Messaging and others. The site is maintained through an administration interface. PHP-Nuke is a news automated system specially designed to be used in Intranets and Internet.

An operating system is the set of basic programs and utilities that make your computer run. At the core of an operating system is the kernel. The kernel is the most fundamental program on the computer and does all the basic housekeeping and lets you start other programs. Debian GNU/Linux is one of the most popular Linux distributions for personal computers and network servers.

Drupal

Drupal is a free software content management framework maintained and developed by a community of more than one million users. It is used as a back-end framework for at least 2.1% of all websites worldwide ranging from personal blogs to corporate, political, and government sites including whitehouse.gov and data.gov.uk. It is also used for knowledge management and business collaboration. More than one million websites are currently powered by Drupal, according to the statistics provided by Drupal.org.

Flossmanuals

The FLOSS Manuals (FM) is a non-profit foundation founded in 2006 and based in the Netherlands. The foundation is focused on the creation of quality documentation about how to use free software. Its web site is a wiki (previously using the TWiki software, now developed as an autonomous platform with Booki) focused on the collaborative authoring of manuals. The documentation is licensed under the GPL. Although initially the manuals were covered by the GFDL, the license was changed due to concerns about the limited and non-free nature of the GFDL

Wikipedia

Wikipedia is a collaboratively edited, multilingual, free Internet encyclopedia that is supported by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation. Volunteers worldwide collaboratively write Wikipedia's 30 million articles in 287 languages, including over 4.4 million in the English Wikipedia. Anyone who can access the site can edit almost any of its articles, which on the Internet comprise the largest and most popular general reference work, ranking sixth globally among all websites on Alexa with an estimated 365 million readers.
