BioMed Central (BMC) is a United Kingdom-based, for-profit scientific publisher specialising in open access journal publication in the domains of Science, Technology and Medicine. BioMed Central and its sister companies Chemistry Central and PhysMath Central publish over 200 scientific journals. Most BioMed Central journals are now published only online. BioMed Central describes itself as the first and largest open access science publisher. It is owned by Springer Science+Business Media.

Zipcar was founded in 2000 by Cambridge, Massachusetts residents Antje Danielson and Robin Chase. On 14 March 2013 Avis Budget Group purchased Zipcar for about US$500 million in cash. Sharing Backyards

IMAGINE A WORLD where everyone has access to healthy, local, organic food. The goal of the Sharing Backyards program is to make that a reality by giving anyone who wants to grow food the yard space to do it. Sharing Backyards encourages urban gardening by connecting those who have the space to garden with those who would like to garden but don’t have the yard space. It connects neighbours of all kinds in an atmosphere of trust – doing something the beautifies the homewoner’s yard and provides fresh food. Garden partners share the cost of gardening supplies and the abundance of the crops.
