The Good Data

TheGoodData is the first data coop. It improves people's privacy while doing some social good. Its browser extension blocks trackers and anonymously process and trades a small part of data for charities. In exchange, users become the sole owners of the company. TheGoodData has started supporting users to effectively own their browsing data, but is expected to develop new features to regain ownership of other sets of data: mobile, financial, etc.

The FairCoin

All current cryptocurrencies require you to buy the coins, either through mining or through exchanges. This gives the advantage to those who already have capital and mining equipment, and can afford risky investments. FairCoin is the first project where the coins are not bought but rather distributed equally between everyone who wants them regardless of their current financial status, and promotes equality. FairCoin is a crypto currency like Bitcoin.

Open Economy Log

Open Economy Log is a tool that helps people work together to build up a picture of what's happening in their local economy and to help each other find resources that originate locally. It works by letting people openly log the resources they use and where those resources come from. Open Economy Log is a new project on its trial run so feedback is welcome.

NordicDEi

NordicDEi democratises data with a crowd powered collaborative-data engine where you don’t have to find a database, or worry about security, authentication, or privacy. We're building a launch-pad for 1,000’s of startups and new ventures, enabling empowered people and enlightened organisations to deliver measurable social impact and sustainable citizen prosperity. To do this during times of unprecedented social, economic, environmental, demographic, and political uncertainty will require us to take a bold approach and step outside of the way we normally do things.
