The goal of the Transhumance project is to devise a software platform to support the execution of collaborative applications in a mobile ad hoc network. The application designed to demonstrate the Transhumance platform is a pervasive collaborative treasure hunting game named “Team Exploration”

Wikihouse

WikiHouse is an open-source project for designing and building houses. It endeavors to democratize and simplify the construction of sustainable, resource-light dwellings. WikiHouse is being developed collaboratively by a small – but growing – community of people all around the world. There is no fixed design 'team' or 'studio', but a steadily growing community of designers from all disciplines who share in common the belief that developing freely available design solutions which are affordable, sustainable, and adaptive to differing needs is a worthwhile aim.

Protei

Protei is a Shape Shifting, Open Hardware, Sailing robot to sense and clean the oceans. Originally invented to clean up the BP Oil Spill pulling long oil sorbent using wind power by Cesar Harada, Protei is now a platform technology to transport scientific payload and clean-up equipment at sea, developed by an global community of scientists, engineers, makers and sailors. Scoutbots is the community that develops "Protei" the Open Hardware Shape Shifting Sailing Robot to collect ocean data and transport cleanup equipment.

Open Source Ecology

By weaving open source permacultural and technological cycles together, we intend to provide basic human needs while being good stewards of the land, using resources sustainably, and pursuing right livelihood. With the gift of openly shared information, we can produce industrial products locally using open source design and digital fabrication. This frees us from the need to participate in the wasteful resource flows of the larger economy by letting us produce our own materials and components for the technologies we use.

RepRap Project

The RepRap project is an initiative to develop a 3D printer that can print most of its own components. RepRap (short for replicating rapid prototyper) uses a variant of fused deposition modeling, an additive manufacturing technique. The project calls it Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) to avoid trademark issues around the "fused deposition modeling" term.
