BerkShares is a local currency that circulates in The Berkshires region of Massachusetts. It was launched on September 29, 2006[1] by BerkShares Inc., with research and development assistance from the New Economics Institute.

Zipcar

Zipcar is a US membership-based carsharing company providing automobile reservations to its members, billable by the hour or day. Zipcar was founded in 2000 by Cambridge, Massachusetts residents Antje Danielson and Robin Chase. On 14 March 2013 Avis Budget Group purchased Zipcar for about US$500 million in cash. Zipcar will operate as a subsidiary of Avis Budget Group.

bitmessage

Bitmessage is a decentralized, encrypted, peer-to-peer, trustless communications protocol that can be used by one person to send encrypted messages to another person, or to multiple subscribers. Bitmessage encrypts each users' message inbox using strong encryption and replicates it inside its P2P network mixing it with inboxes of other users in order to conceal user's identity, prevent eavesdropping and protect the network from any control.

Aixada

An ecological food consumption cooperative that is driven fully by the users/consumers. The coop has developed a free software tool to manage the product catalogue, ordering, reception and internal distribution process in a self-managed way. This tools is further developed in collaboration with a wider community of coops and collaborative consumption groups.

Sharing Backyards

IMAGINE A WORLD where everyone has access to healthy, local, organic food. The goal of the Sharing Backyards program is to make that a reality by giving anyone who wants to grow food the yard space to do it. Sharing Backyards encourages urban gardening by connecting those who have the space to garden with those who would like to garden but don’t have the yard space. It connects neighbours of all kinds in an atmosphere of trust – doing something the beautifies the homewoner’s yard and provides fresh food. Garden partners share the cost of gardening supplies and the abundance of the crops.

Agora Voting -formerly known as Agora Ciudadana - is an innovative free software project whose aim is to create a social network for the people, allowing secure and scalable votings via Internet with just your web browser. Agora Voting is a social web site where anyone can create or join in an agora. An agora has a set of members which can vote in the agora's elections either by direct vote or by delegating the vote. Som Energia Platform

Som Energia is a Spanish cooperative social movement that has three main funtions 1) it commercialises 100% renewable electricity to the Spanish homes; 2) cooperativists collectively invest in installations to generate renewable electricity and 3) a social movement that shares knowledge and activism to build up pressure to change the electricity market in favour of a distributed renewable energy system.

Gitorious

Gitorious is a web-based hosting service for collaborative free and open-source software development projects that use the Git revision control system. The name also refers to the free and open-source server software that the Web site is developed and hosted on. History Gitorious was started by Johan Sørensen in the end of 2007 as a way to easily host Git repositories for himself.

WikiEducator

WikiEducator is a community project working collaboratively with the Free Culture Movement towards a free version of the education curriculum by 2015.
